JMEC has been structural engineer for an emergency repair of a 3-story post-tensioning concrete parking garage.  A portion of the wall was collapsed due to accidental vehicular impact.

JMEC was tasked to assess the damage and to prepare repair plans to reconstruct the wall.   Due to the use of drill and bond dowels to connect the new wall to the existing structure, the existing prestressing tendons were carefully located prior to drilling to avoid damages to these tendons.

Only several parking spaces were blocked off during repair, and the construction was completed expeditously during the holiday seasons without any major impacts.
